Fresh from the Party

Today was the Jewish Culture Club's first party of the year.

With twice as many people as usual we said our L'chiams and decided to learn a little bit about one another. Mrs. H and I ( the moderator) spoke about what Rosh  Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot means now and how it is celebrated and why. Following that, we ate sweet things-what wasn't already sweet was duly dipped in honey-  and discussed everyone's origins and our Cultural foods.( what else? Food always comes up in this club. hahaha) Then, as a club we invited everyone to voice an idea about what we should do together over the year and received some great suggestions that everyone looks forward to. for example, attending the Israeli parade or having every member bring food from their home country or nationality and inviting the Italian club to join us.

One person even said we should call ourselves the Multi-cultural club (with a twist of Jewishness.) I can't argue with that sentiment.

Lets all continue to have fun and perhaps one day LMG will be the friendliest school ever! (Provided we aren't already that cool.)

Happy Rosh Hashannah

This is a new year, with new officials and hopefully new energetic members; Let's have fun! Right!

Look forward to the celebrations, new friendships, and lots of laughs. We welcome everyone and are open to

people of many backgrounds. ( Plus: This is the only club in the school that encourages eating in classrooms

and dancing in the hallways! ;p)

L'Shana Tova
"Have a good year"
PS: More coming soon! xD
